Blogger Style to Admire - Little Miss Mon Bon

Welcome to our Blog series on Bloggers!

Who doesn't love a fab fashion blogger?! Someone with style to envy and an enviable lifestyle to boot!

Our Blogger LOVE this week goes to Monique Ceccato aka Little Miss Mon Bon.

If you haven't already discovered this dynamic, colour loving, super stylish blogger who hails from Perth, be sure to swing on over to her Blog for a mega dose of fun loving style - http://littlemissmonbon.com/

We were lucky enough to have a chat with Monique and asked her about Blogging, her style and her loves;

Describe to us your own personal style?

I would like to say that it is colourful, fun and sometimes unexpected

When did you start blogging and what inspired you to do so?

I started blogging in 2010 after what I thought was a TERRIBLE interview for an internship. I knew nothing about what they were asking me (including if I knew how to use Wordpress) so I decided to go home and learn about the things I didn’t already know about. Turns out I really liked the blogging thing!

Who do you look to for style inspiration? Who are your style icons?

I honestly can’t say I have any! I am more inspired by my mood than I am by other people when I am getting dressed. If anything, I would have to say that I love women like Chiara Ferragni, Zanita and Margaret Zhang because they are unashamedly themselves, whatever they wear

Who is your favourite designer?

Again, very difficult to nail in one! I go in phases and am really drawn to different collections rather than just one designer

What do you love about Perth?

The weather (except for recently… it has been super rainy and windy). We have a lot of sunshine so we get to make the most of our gorgeous beaches!

You wear a lot of colour and prints (Which I personally love about your style!)
What is it that draws you to colour / prints and wearing colourful / bold ensembles?

Simply put, it makes me happy. Colour and print remind me of summer, warmth, exotic destinations and lively music - all things that also make me happy! I also feel like it helps me to express myself and my personality better than neutrals

When you aren't blogging, where / what would we find you doing?

At the beach, at a gymnastics class or aerials class… sometimes out to brunch

Do you prefer to dress up or down? Are you more comfortable in jeans/tee or dress/heels ?

I would always much prefer to be overdressed than underdressed so, needless to say, heels and a dress is far more comfortable to me. I have this ridiculous fear of rocking up somewhere in jeans and flats when everyone else is rocking frocks, heels and lipstick!

Who are your favourite bloggers?

I personally love following what Nicole Warne of Gary Pepper does (although, she is more of an Instagrammer/influencer than a blogger now). I also love the work of The Fashion Fraction, Scout and The City and K is For Kani’s fun, colourful outfits

And finally what's next for Little Miss Bon? Where will we see you next?

Oh golly… I know where I want to see myself, but the question is ‘will I get there?’. I would love to start presenting more (in the lead up to TV presenting), and I would love to have a frequent column/contributor role to an online magazine. Carrie Bradshaw much?

Have a favourite Blogger we may or may not have heard of yet? Be sure to post away in the comments below.

Until next time,

Tis the Season..(to dress up!)

Tis the Season to dress up, celebrate, have a champagne or two, spend time with loved ones and maybe even go away on holiday, if you’re lucky enough!

How could you not love this time of the year?! Not only is it officially Summer (my season of choice – weather and fashion-wise!) but  Christmas is now just around the corner! I'm not going to lie, and I can't play it down. I am unashamedly a GIGANTIC fan of Christmas and all the festivities it brings!!

I love the mood that surrounds this time of the year and whilst everyone is (more or less) exhausted and social calendars are crazy-full, it doesn't seem to dampen the mood and I still feel surrounded by a sense of Christmas cheer!

I love that this time of the year, for most of us, will  mean a break of some sort! A chance to unwind, relax and spend time with your nearest and dearest!

And in stark contrast, I love that, right now we are (somewhat run off our feet) busy with Christmas drinks/celebrations/parties/concerts, and whatever it may be, but it’s always fun and in the spirit of Christmas!

Of course being an avid fan of fashion, I also love that I have many opportunities to get dressed-up!

And then there's that new outfit necessity that goes hand in hand with everything celebratory, especially Christmas Day, and for me, has done since I was about 5-years old!

And with TWO weeks to go (insert panic) until Christmas Day, now is the time to (quickly cram in the last of your Christmas shopping) and also treat yourself to something nice!

So without further adieu, here are some of our favourite pieces for Christmas day, starting with white, which has been sooooooo on point this year. It's crisp, it's fresh and it is synonymous with Summer!

The Cosmic Currents Mini Dress (above) - $240

My love affair with Asilio and the Exclusive 8

In case you missed it, MAJOR news has emerged, that one of our faves, Asilio, are launching an exclusive line of 8 dresses in collaboration with all of our style crush favorites, including the immaculate Nadia Bartel, MEGA beauty Bec Judd, stylist in demand and stunner Lana Wilkinson and the oh so pretty and fabulous blogger Jasmine Howell AKA Friend in Fashion.

These dresses are amaaaaaaaaaazing and whilst I can't give away too many secrets, you only need to take a look at the Nadia Dress (released in week 1) and the Rebecca Dress (released yesterday) to know what you're in for!!

Owning one (or all) of these incredible dresses, should be on your radar. They really are the ultimate investment piece!

In case you missed it, the Nadia boasts a flattering silhouette and off the shoulder design and this beautiful geometric lace and comes in an oh so perfect cloud white colour.

Here she is, in all her glory;

And here worn by the beauty herself;

The Rebecca dress has an equally amazing silhouette and features a high neck line and strategically placed, yet subtle cutouts in the sides and back. The luxe rope detail and rose gold zipper (yes, rose gold!) very much won me over, along with its very romantical blush pink colour.

Either of these dresses would be the showstopper for a wedding, hens party, engagement party, birthday party, garden party, high tea, of course the races and the list goes on!

And if you want to put your hard earned dollars into a piece you can wear again, these dresses won't ever disappoint! You can be guaranteed to get the oohs and ahhs and "I love your dress" every time you step out in it. I bet your friends will be so in awe each time you wear it, they won't even notice you have worn it 30 times!

I'm sure your heart is now in a flutter, so get in quick ladies and nab yourself one of these iconic dresses. Both the Nadia and the Rebecca are in the New Arrivals section of our website (https://www.holapretty.com.au/collections/new-arrivals) and are graciously waiting for a place in your wardrobe!

Until next time,

Happy shopping and much love x

Hola to New Beginnings

Hola and a big welcome to Hola Pretty,

If you have found yourself oogling here and reading this blog, I'm pretty sure we are now friends!

If you share a GIANT love of all things pretty, a LOVE of fashion and of feminine and beautiful silhouettes, a LOVE of Australian designers and labels and a LOVE for planning and styling your outfits, I am so very glad we met!

My love of fashion started many moons ago. Some of my earliest memories are more about the outfit I was wearing than anything else! At the age of about 3, I remember being in love with what I thought was my first rock & roll ensemble (the reality; a red/black/white polka dot twin set, yep, matchy matchy all the way). It was a show stopper and I remember wanting to wear it, everyday!

At ten, I saved for so very long to purchase a button through denim skirt to wear on the runway for a fashion parade I was in, and as a teenager my love for Australian designers flourished and I found myself saving like crazy to own brands such as Sass & Bide, Marcs and Alannah Hill.

I realised then that we have such an array of amazing talent in Australia and that one day, I would like to showcase the beautiful brands that adorn us and own my very own boutique clothing store.

Well fast forward a few years, a husband and two beautiful little boys and here I am launching Hola pretty (still pinching actually!)

I don't think I have ever loved fashion more, you can't outgrow such a love! And whilst I would love to tell you an elaborate story about how the opportunity presented itself to do so, the truth involves one long road trip (1500 kilometers loooong!!) and a New Years resolution. On said road trip from Perth back to my home town of Karratha (in Western Australia) Hola pretty was born. I decided not to overthink it and that it was time. Just take a chance and run with the dream I told myself and that's exactly what I did.

So a few months later, my husband Daniel and I popped over to Melbourne, met with some amazing people, decided on a list of designers and labels that would be synonymous with what Hola pretty was all about and before long the dream started to become a reality!

So I will finish off my (very first) blog post, by saying a big Thankyou! Thankyou for sharing my love of fashion, thankyou for stopping by and a BIG thankyou to my nearest and dearest for embracing the dream and for all of your support!

I hope you have a field day shopping here and that Hola pretty becomes your one stop.

I promise to continually bring you beautiful pieces (Side note, we have so much more coming in the next few weeks, so please stay tuned via Facebook and Insta) and I promise to get them to you as fast as possible, because let's face it - having to wait a week or more for your new purchase = torturous!

I also promise to bring you exciting news, new trends, new brands and pieces you can't (or shouldn't) live without via the blog.

Until next time,

Happy shopping and much love x
